Puisant dans des cahiers de famille de sa mère, Sophie Corriveau, brillante interprète en danse depuis plus de 25 ans, ose l’aventure de la création et élabore un solo aux contours théâtraux. Qui est ce personnage sur scène ? Femme, enfant ? Un corps aux multiples époques, construit de toutes les expériences vécues, démultiplié à l’infini... Conçus par l’artiste Thomas Corriveau, son frère, les films d’animation révèlent une autre dimension à la danse : l’image dessinée, répétée jusqu’à l’insondable, réelle puis virtuelle, se transforme et devient poésie et vertige. Le solo se déploie en écho, dans une atmosphère intime et incongrue où réalité et fiction s’entrechoquent puis font corps.

Drawing inspiration from family albums belonging to her mother, Sophie Corriveau, a brilliant contemporary dancer with a career that spans 25 years, dares to create and develop a solo with theatrical undertones. Who is this character on stage? A woman? A child? A body depicting different eras, encompassing all its experiences, stripped of all its layers... Designed by the artist Thomas Corriveau, her brother, the animated films bring another dimension to the dance: the drawn image, repeated over and over again until the unfathomable, real and virtual, is transformed and becomes poetry and vertigo. At the same time, the solo unfolds in an intimate and incongruous environment
where reality and fiction collide and form one body.
